This is the new age where people simply love gaming. While our parents grew up without computers, the newer generation, including my generation even though I would consider myself as an old geek, has experienced and love computers and gadgets. We love computers and gadgets so much that some people can even say they cannot live without them. For example, the recent explosion of hand phone users which is attributed to cheaper mobile phones and cheaper subscription plans has led to almost everyone having a hand phone each. Some people even have two hand phones for God knows what reasons. I heard that one is the work phone while the other is for personal calls. In the past hand phones were huge in size. It was only because of improvements in technology that led to smaller mobile phones which are also cheaper to manufacture.
Besides the hand phone, I am sure that you have heard about the other gadgets which has created a new wave of gadget lovers. Apple plays a big role in this as they have churned out gadgets that are loved by almost anyone. Their first gadgets included the iPod shuffle, which gave music lovers a chance to carry all their music in the palm of their hands. This was a simple mp3 player which wowed plenty of people. Then there is also the iPhone, another invention that took the market share of hand phones away from many of the hand phone market leaders. Their most recent invention, the iPad, is going to take the tablet industry by storm too.
Now I come to another tech invention which has taken the world by storm. Ever heard of motion sensing games? These were first introduced by Nintendo through their wWii platform video game consoles. These days you see the new players such as Sony and Microsoft trying to muscle in on the market. You have Sony with their PlayStation Move, a gadget very similar to the Nintendo Wii, as well as the Microsoft Kinect which is their latest add on to the Microsoft Xbox console. While I am not really a fan of these two new platforms, I tend to stick to the company which first introduced motion sensing. So if you are asking me to give you my honest opinion, it is best to stick with playing Wii until the other systems have stabilized. Till then you can always try out other video game console platforms.
