Is there a way to use a flash drive as a hard drive for Xbox 360?

Well, I made the mistake of buying the xbox slim 4gb, and I have a ton of flash drives, and I’d like top know if there is a way to possibly ‘trick’ my Xbox into thinking that a Flash Drive is an actual Hard Drive.

I’d like to be able to install games on my Xbox, and also download the HD Content for BF3.

  1. I thinks it is possible sorry for not knowing but i know theres a certain flash drive you can use that you can buy from at gamestop or bestbuy. its specified for xbox360 and i think its about 8-12 gigs

  2. Not hundred percent sure if this is what you wanted but this is how to make a usb drive usable with the Xbox 360.

Plug a USB flash drive into a USB port on the front of your console.

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings and then select System Settings.

    Select Storage or Memory.

    Select USB Storage Device.

Choose either Configure Now or Customise to format the USB flash drive for Xbox content.

Configure Now: Erases the USB memory stick and configures 32 GB for Xbox storage

Select Configure Now and confirm that you want to erase all data on the USB flash drive.

Customise: Configures a portion of the USB memory stick (up to 32 GB)

    Select Customise.

Move the Reserved Storage slider to select the amount of space you want for Xbox storage.

    Select Configure.

The console tests your USB flash drive to make sure that it works correctly with the console. If your USB flash drive passes this test, you can use it.

Your USB flash drive is ready to use and is listed as a USB Storage Device.
